Profile/Background


Brian D. Ghiglia provides a broad background of legal work and real world experience to his dispute resolution techniques. After practicing general civil litigation and handling diverse cases in real estate, business, bankruptcy, and family law matters for the first ten years of his law practice, he focused on personal injury, Insurance, and related cases over the last twenty years. Professional malpractice claims, all forms of tort claims (auto, pedestrian, premises, product liability, wrongful death, etc.), real estate, business, and insurance disputes are his areas of interest.

Along the way, Mr. Ghiglia has real world experience having brought the first child pool safety fence company to California (Protect A Child Pool Fence Company), which he grew and sold, as well as owning a mortgage company.

Mr. Ghiglia brings a strong social humanist approach to managing and/or resolving disputes and conflicts. He believes every case is unique with its own dynamics that need to be explored and resolved.



Mediation Training

Training courses including Pepperdine’s “Mediating the Litigated Case,” “Appellate Mediation Training, Court of Appeal Second Appellate District,” as well as participating in a large number of continuing education seminars, symposiums, etc., through the various Mediation Societies (SCMA, etc)

Mediation Experience
Mr. Ghiglia has served as a mediator in excess of one hundred fifty cases. These include all types of tort claims, professional negligence, commercial, civil, real estate, and related disputes. He has participated as an advocate in a similar number of cases.
